Board and Train program pricing
Transparent program pricing dependent on YOUR dog training goals.
Our board and train programs run approximately $1,100 per week, including recommended training equipment and lessons both during and after the program. Because each dog is an individual, we will assess YOUR needs and training goals, and then recommend a program duration. We will recommend a four week program for most dogs, but may allow less or recommend more dependent on your dogs attitude, genetic temperament, and any behavioral concerns you may have.

Is my dog a good candidate for the 14 day program?
Our two week board and train program is a great option for dog owners who are traveling and are looking to make productive use of their dogs time away from home, or dogs with a confident, social temperament who need work on leash skills and basic impulse control. For dog owners looking for advanced dog training (on leash, off leash, and around heavy distractions), or that own a dog with behavioral concerns such as anxiety, reactivity, aggression, barking and lunging (friendly or not so much), or otherwise we will always recommend a minimum stay of at least three weeks.
My dog is friendly but barks and lunges on leash. Which program is right for them?
We recommend our six week program for dogs who struggle with reactive behavior, including social dogs who are otherwise friendly with dogs off leash. This allows us the time to teach them the important obedience skills required to overcome the barking, and then take ample field trips out in public to proof those skills.
How many lessons come with each package?
All of our programs come with an hour long private lesson at graduation, plus follow up lessons to keep you on track.
- 2 weeks: 1 additional follow up lesson
- 3 weeks: 2 additional follow up lessons
- 4 weeks: 3 additional follow up lessons
- 6+ weeks: 5 additional follow up lessons
Do you offer a multiple pet discount?
We do offer a 10% discount on same-household dogs enrolled in training, or future training programs for dogs we have trained.
Do you offer payment plans?
We have multiple financing options for dog owners. Contact us to learn how to apply. We do not offer in-house financing options.
Where do the dogs sleep at night?
At Up N Atom, your dog will live with their dog trainer in their home. Our training space includes a “kennel room” designated for client dogs that is quiet and comfortable. Dogs sleep in large crates with plenty of space to move around.
Can I visit my dog during their training stay?
Visits are offered on a case-by-case basis. We want to make sure that your dog will BENEFIT from a visit; this means not all dogs are a great candidate for training visits where they may practice bad behavior or become anxious upon your departure. Your dog trainer will advise you on whether or not a part-way visit would be a good thing for your dog. While we would never say you cannot see your dog, we will recommend avoiding it if we feel it will be detrimental to the training. Don’t worry, we send plenty of photo and video updates!
Where are you located?
We are located in Mentor, but service the greater Northeast Ohio area. Our primary service area is Cleveland, but we have clients from Cincinnati to Jefferson. Transportation services are available for board and train clients. Don’t let distance be your primary deciding factor when choosing a dog trainer!
